Who has smelly children out there?
I know I do! That’s why I was pleased to receive a sample of Purex
Crystals Limited Edition Fabulously Fresh from the Purex brand in
exchange for a review. My thoughts on Purex Crystals, a laundry
freshener, are my own.
First Impression
Purex Crystals has fun, bright packaging
I loved the packaging. Bright and futuristic. I felt like a cool kid
just using the stuff. The crystals, a lime green color, have a fresh
scent, but not an overpowering one.
Using the Crystals
I tried 2 different loads using the crystals, which you add to the
wash along with your detergent. This step is important to me, as I don’t
want to worry about making laundry any more complicated by having to
put softeners or fragrance boosters in at a certain time in the cycle.
Just pour them in along with your detergent.
With my son’s dirty clothes, I used a medium amount and didn’t notice
a strong scent. Heck, I didn’t really notice any scent at all once his
clothes were dry. For the second load (my bathroom towels), I used the
largest amount recommended. The crystals claim they do NOT reduce the
absorbancy of towels. I found this to be true. Plus, I am pleasantly
surprised by the very faint, but fresh scent of the towels each time I
use them, and it’s been over a week.
Conclusion
If you like a laundry enhancer that is NOT heavily scented, then give
Purex Crystals Fabulously Fresh a try. You may be pleased by its light,
fresh scent, and might enjoy a bit of freshness on your clothes.
